Abstract

The family Curculionidae is the largest family of Super-family Curculinoidea and the number of described weevil species is calculated to be nearly 62, 000. Most of the weevils (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) are pest insects which damage fruits, seeds and leaves and grains. The different species of weevils feed on the same host at different times of the year. This involves infestation of weevils on the different parts of the host plant. Eugenia is one of such host plant that is infested by the weevil species and causes colossal loss to the fruit and foliage. Out of these, the bionomics of three has been discussed in the present study.
