Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Auto Sector, Mumbai plant, received the QS 9000 Certificate (Quality-system) in the year 2000. In the year 2002, the plants in Mumbai and Igatpuri were certified by RWTuV as ISO 14001. In 2003, the Mumbai plant was also recommended for the TPM Excellence Award by JIPM (Japanese Institute of Plant Maintenance). The same year, M&M was also the first automobile company to be recommended for the TS 16949 certification by RWTuV.
