Abstract

Speaking at the Petroleum Conservation Research Association, in New Delhi recently, Surya P. Sethi, Adviser, Energy, with the Planning Commission of the Government of India suggests how subsidy-driven energy efficiency programs should be replaced with demand and need-driven initiatives, supported by both extensive awareness creation and adequate legislation.
