Light Pollution – wastes energy, destroys environment and kills road users

Satellite imagery of the Earth at night has brought into focus major cities, towns, motorways, roads and many other man-made structures – owing to wasted light. A truly staggering amount of energy (and hence money and resources) is wasted annually for want of sensible, well-designed, and properly aimed lighting!
