Abstract

Verrucous carcinoma is a distinctive variety of squamous cell carcinoma. Although it has been reported in extra oral sites, the tumor is mostly found in oral mucosa. Verrucous carcinoma is considered as a ‘garden variety of squamous cell carcinoma’ because of low grade malignancy, slow growth and no metastatic potential. It is generally surgically treated by excising the tissue with excellent prognosis.
