Abstract

Fibro-osseous lesions of maxillofacial origin comprise of varied group of jaw disorders pose a diagnostic challenge because of uncertainties about the radiological and histological features , hence creating difficulty in finding correct diagnosis. Although the, radiological and clinical aspects are suggestive of a particular lesion, but doesn’t clearly exclude others from final diagnosis. This case report aims to depict the dilemma that remains for the surgeon to diagnose and manage fibrous dysplasia and ossifying fibroma because of their close correlation.
