Osteosarcoma is an aggressive, highly malignant mesenchymal bone tumor. Although osteosarcoma of the head and neck is relatively a rare disease and may constitute approximately 1% of all head and neck cancers and only 0.14% of intraoral malignancies. Approximately 6–9% of all osteosarcomas arise in the jaw bones. Early diagnosis of such tumor is very important for better prognosis. Here, we report a rare case of primary osteosarcoma of mandible in a 45-year-old female, which was diagnosed early with the help of clinical, radiographic and histopathological examination.
