Abstract

Dentigerous cyst is one of the most common types of developmental odontogenic cysts. Cysts of developmental and inflammatory origin lined by epithelial lining are primarily composed of squamous epithelium. The various forms of metaplasia and degenerations are observed in epithelian lining. Supernumerary teeth can lead to other complications like delayed eruption or noneruption, displacement of permanent teeth, resorption or malformation of adjacent roots, and cystic formation. This case report hereby, presents with a case of accidental finding of Dentigerous cyst with Mucous Metaplasia.
