Peripheral ameloblastoma (PA) is a rare odontogenic neoplasm occurring commonly in the mandibular gingiva with prevalence of 1–5%. It clinically resembles other peripherally occurring lesions like pyogenic granuloma, peripheral ossifying fibroma, peripheral giant cell granuloma, and squamous papilloma. This paper describes a rare case of peripheral acanthomatous ameloblastoma in a 60-year-old male involving anterior mandibular region which was treated successfully with enucleation and chemical cauterization.
