The color of gingiva is determined by several factors, including the number and size of blood vessels, the epithelial thickness, the quantity of keratinization and the pigments within the epithelium. Melanocytes, located in basal and suprabasal layer of epithelium, are the cells that produce melanin pigments which play a main role for pigmentation of gingiva1. In this case study, procedure of depigmentation of gingival tissues with two techniques namely- DIODE LASER technique and scalpel technique is presented within the same subject, 17 years Male patient who reported in O.P.D of Bhojia Dental College & Hospital, Baddi (H.P).
