Abstract

Teeth with open apices with pulpal or periapical involvement are one of the worst conditions to treat. This case report describes a case of 32 years old female patient with a recrudescent abscess with large periapical lesion in relation to right maxillary central incisor. The tooth was treated conservatively with minimal cleaning and shaping. A series of intracanal medicaments were used to disinfect the canal and the canal was obturated with special technique to obtain adequate seal. Radiographic evaluation at 1 month, 3 months and 1 year revealed considerable regression of the periapical lesion.
