The medical evaluation of patients is a crucial step in prosthodontic treatment planning. Prosthodontists must assess the potential risks involved when treating patients with systemic conditions. Several factors contribute to evaluating a patient's health status and associated risks, including their current and past medical and dental histories, medication use (both current and past), the type and duration of the treatment, its invasiveness, and the urgency of the treatment. Each of these elements plays an important role in determining the best approach for a safe and effective treatment plan.
