The primary goal of posterior tooth restoration is to restore the natural esthetics and functionality of the teeth. With evolving materials and technology, posterior indirect restorations advanced considerably, offering increased durability, esthetics, and functionality. This review explored key materials, CAD/CAM technologies, and modern techniques that had transformed indirect restorations in dentistry. This review explores the fundamental principles of tooth preparation, evaluates the selection of restorative materials, and highlights advancements in adhesive technologies and digital dentistry. Additionally, it examines clinical outcomes and emerging trends, emphasizing a patient-centered approach to care.
