We report a case of a 13 year old boy with an initial provisional diagnosis of a dentigerous cyst, who underwent enucleation under local anaesthesia. Post operative excisional biopsy revealed cords and strands arising from cystic lining at a site which were suggestive of ameloblastic changes.
