Odontogenic infections involving the deep fascial spaces of the head and neck can rapidly progress to life-threatening complications, particularly in immunocompromised patients. This case report describes the management of a submandibular space infection extending into the submental space in a 48-year-old female patient with uncontrolled type II diabetes mellitus. The patient presented with diffuse swelling in the left submandibular region, pain, intra oral pus discharge, and reduced mouth opening. Early surgical intervention and multidisciplinary management resulted in gradual clinical improvement and successful recovery.
