Abstract

The goal of orthodontic treatment should be not only to correct the dental irregularities but also improve facial development. Malocclusion of teeth is rather a disability that potentially influences physical and mental wellness of patient. The affected patients not only have compromised jaw function but the adverse affect on facial esthetics may lead to discrimination in social interactions. Successful treatment is judged in terms of facial balance, esthetic harmony and functional stability in the end result. With these goals in mind the following case was treated and the objectives were achieved in terms of posttreatment balance of facial and dental harmony.
