Management of root fractures presents a formidable challenge for clinicians because of the difficulty of achieving a stable reunion of fracture fragments. The horizontal root fracture injuries of permanent teeth affect up to 7% of all dental trauma. PrognosiS of root fracture in the cervical one third is considered to be poor due to a short mobile coronal fragment with less probability of healing. Approximately 59% of untreated or splinted teeth maintain their vitality. A factor with significant influence in the healing process in cases of horizontal fractures is the presence or absence of a communication of the fracture line with the oral environment, age of the patient and general health and periodontal status of the patient. Based on the above factors a conservative treatment was planned for two cases which is reported below.
