"Dilacerated and Impacted Maxillary Central Incisors: Case Report"

Dilaceration (latin:-Dilacera -tear off) is a developmental anomaly characterized by abrupt change in the axial inclination between crown and root of the tooth. Dilaceration of permanent maxillary incisors is most commonly attributed to traumatic. Non -axial displacement of hard tissue in relation to developing soft tissues. There are few reports of unusual dilacerations of both maxillary incisors. Dilaceration accounts for 3% of the traumatic injuries to the permanent teeth(1,4) This article reports impacted and dilacerated both maxillary permanent central incisors, Overviews various treatment options and emphasizes on the need for long term follow up after trauma till the permanent teeth fully erupt into the oral cavity (1,2,19.)
