Actinomycotic infections are known to be associated with difficulties in diagnosis and treatment. Acase of pyogenic granuloma with associated Actinomycosis is described in an HCV (Hepatitis C Virus) positive patient. Although pyogenic granuloma is a well known entity over the tongue, the authors are not aware that it has been reported in association with Actinomycosis in an HCV positive patient.
