Adhesive reattachment of complicated subgingivally fractured permanent incisors: Two case reports

Aesthetic rehabilitation of subgingival crown fractures with pup exposure of the maxillary anteriors is one of the greatest challenges to the dentist. Numerous restorative techniques such as resin composite restorations with and without pins, crowns and reattachment of the fractured dental fragment have been listed as the treatment options. Reattachment creates a very positive emotional response in the patient and simplifies the maintenance of the patient's original occlusion. Two cases of subgingival crown fractures are reported. Both had been restored by reattachment of the fragment with the help of flap surgery. In Case I pins & composite was used and in Case II composite was used.
