Reconstruction, restoration and management of traumatic injury is a demanding and challenging experience. Among all other factors contributing to the successful management of Traumatized tooth, Splinting plays a major role. Splints can be classified on the basis of their material used, location, material used etc. The indications for their usage according to classification thus vary and need to be understood for the best outcome. At the same time, the effects of splinting is seen and reported on tooth itself as well as all the supporting tissues. Thus an intelligent and adequate use of splint is necessary to achieve optimum results. The present article highlights all the aspects and detailed description of the Splints with a comprehensive review and update.
