Aesthetic requirement of severely mutilated primary anterior teeth in case of early childhood caries has always been a challenge for the Pediatric dentist. The various treatment options are mention in the literature such as resin composite restorations, pre fabricated posts, biological posts and orthodontic wire posts. This article presents a case of early childhood caries where a poly ethylene fiber (Ribbond) has been used as an intra canal retainer. The advantages of using reinforced fibers as a intracanal post include resin composite crown reinforcement, translucency, and relative ease of manipulation. The follow up of the case for 2years has demonstrated good retention and aesthetic results.
