Abstract

Candidiasis is a frequent fungal infection occurring in the oral cavity. Various clinical manifestationof oral candidiasis reflects the diversity of the predisposing conditions. This article reviews various clinical presentations of oral Candidiasis as it appears in oral cavity with their management. Oral Candidiasis should be considered as a probable spearhead for systemic Candidiasis in severely immunocompromised patient. Thus, meticulous oral cleanliness is the solitary most important means of preventing serious infection in these patients.
