A variety of odontogenic cysts can develop in the jaws. One of the most common cysts to originate is the dentigerous cyst that exhibits peculiar clinical behavior, distinctive origin, & specific histopathological features. Its origin is thought to be from the cell rests of dental lamina. Its cystic lining has a peculiar tendency to develop squamous cell carcinoma, mucoepidermoid carcinoma, and ameloblastoma. Here, we present a rare case where the cystic lining of dentigerous cyst shows the development of Odontogenic Keratocyst (OKC). The present intriguing case of clinically diagnosed dentigerous cyst which exhibited OKC changes emphasizes the significance and relevance of histopathology prior to treatment planning.
