Abstract

Forensic odontology is that branch of dentistry which deals with the law. Various methods are used to resolve issues related to civil cases, criminal cases and dental jurisprudence.

To study the level of awareness of Forensic Odontology amongst the legal practitioners in Delhi and to analyse its scope and application in court of law.

A questionnaire based survey was conducted on 400 Lawyers practicing law in Delhi. The collected Data was tabulated in Microsoft excel sheet. The data was analyzed depending on specialty, years in practice and gender of lawyers. Hypothesis testing was done using Chi square test with P value ≤ 0.05.

The survey results indicate that there is good knowledge of FO but lack in its application.
