The root rot/wilt causing pathogens are, Sclerotium rolfsii Rhizoctonia bataicola and Fusarium sp. In vitro screening of fungicides was undertaken to identify an effective compound against these pathogens. Mancozeb, Carbendazim, Thiophanate methyl, Hexaconazole, Propiconazole, Carbendazim + Mancozeb and Carboxin + Mancozeb were found to be effective in inhibiting mycelial growth of all the three pathogens.
