Thirty two gladiolus genotypes were studied at the Department of Horticulture, UAS, Dharwad during Kharif Season of 2010–11. Maximum number of days for Spike initiation, full emergence of spite and first floret to open and exhibit color was observed in the hybrid Tropic Sea. The maximum spike length, rachis length, number of florets per spike, floret diameter, floret length and vase life was recorded in the hybrid AB x MC.
