Abstract

Maximum dry mycelial weight of Sclerotium rolfsii was observed at 30°C and pH of 5.0. Alternate cycles of 12 h light and 12 h dark resulted in maximum dry mycelial weight and maximum radial growth in liquid and solid media respectively. The study further revealed that, due to its infection total phenol content in the host plant increased while sugars decreased.
