Effect of pruning on fruiting of sharad seedless grapes

Effect of time and intensity of pruning on fruiting of Sharad Seedless grapes was studied during 2010 to 2012. Vine pruned on seven different dates (time) starting from 15^th July to 15^th October at an interval of 15 days with three pruning intensities(4, 6 and 8 buds/cane). Days for bud sprouting and panicle emergence were observed to be early in the treatment 15^th July; at 4 buds/cane in both the years Maximum bud percentage (81.28 and 89.20%, respectively), cane fruiting (74.70 and 84.69%, respectively), number of bunches per vine (30.00 and 52.74, respectively) and yield (9.21 and 16.36 kg/vine and 20.45 and 36.36 t/ha.; respectively) was recorded in the treatment 15 ^th Sept.; at 6 buds/cane, in both the years.
