Abstract

Effect of selected methylotrophs on the growth and yield of Coleus forskohlii was studied under pot culture conditions. Plant height, shoot biomass, chlorophyll content, stem girth, leaf area, and yield of tubers improved due to Methylobacterium inoculation. PPFM 50 emerged as the best isolate. The increase in tuber yield due to inoculation with PPFM 50 was 216.10% against uninoculated control, and 136.07% against reference strain.
