The lower(18.73 mealy bugs/plant) population was recorded when the infested tobacco plants were treated with chlorpyriphos followed byprofenophos(19.79), carbaryl (21.60) and methomyl (22.53), respectively. Whereas, maximum (36.88 and 36.86 mealy bugs/plant) population was obtained when tobacco plants were treated with thiamethoxam and buprofezin, respectively.
