Fifty diverse mungbean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) genotypes were evaluated for the estimation of genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance, correlation coefficient and path coefficient analysis for fifteen quantitativecharacters. The genotypes differed significantly for all characters studied. Higher genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation was observed for harvest index followed by biological yield per plant, 100-seed weight and number of primary branches per plant. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed in biological yield per plant, harvest index and number of pods per plant indicating the impact of additive gene affecting expression of these characters. Character association indicated that harvest index and 100 seed weight had significant positive correlation with seed yield. Maximum direct effect of harvest index, biological yield per plant and number of primary branches per plant on seed yield was observed
