Application of imazethapyr 100 g ha −1 at 15–20 DAS was found most effective in reducing weed population, highest percent mortality of weeds (74.52%), less dry weight of weeds (52.09 g per m2), higher WCE (84.38%) as well as lowest WI (7.24%) and it was closely followed by quizalofop-p-ethyl 100 g ha−1 at 15–20 DAS. Imazethapyr 100 g ha−1 at 15–20 DAS recorded significantly higher plant height at harvest (47.0 cm), number of pods per plant (22.8), length of pod (7.1 cm), seed yield per plant (8.16 g), test weight (40.67 g), seed yield (927 kg ha−1).
