Abstract

Thirty divergent genotypes of linseed were studied for geneticvariability, heritability and genetic advance during rabi season of 2011–12. The highest magnitude of genotypic variation was observed for number of seeds per plant. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed for number of seeds per plant, number of capsules per plant, number of seeds per capsule, number of secondary branches per plant, 100 seed weight and seed yield per plant, while moderate heritability was observed for number of primary branches per plant.
