Abstract

Four sowing dates (18th August, 18th September, 18th October and 18th November) were assigned as main treatments and four varieties (Phule Anuradha, Phule Chitra, Phule Vasudha and Phule Revati) were assigned as sub treatments during August 2010-April 2011, to study the effect of climate on biochemical properties of sorghum at 50% flowering. Highest values of proline, total free amino acids, reducing sugar, total sugar and soluble protein were recorded in the leaves of the plants sown on 18 October 2010 in variety Phule Revati.
