Abstract

Laboratory study to evaluate the bioefficacy of different acaricides viz., abamectin 0.0025%, fenazaquin 0.01%, buprofezin 0.030%, fenpyroximate 0.0025%, propargite 0.05%, dicofol 0.05%, diafenthiuron 0.055% and dimethoate 0.03% against carnation mite, T. urticae revealed that the treatment of propargite 0.05%, abamectin 0.0025%, dimethoate 0.03% and diafenthiuron 0.055% were most effective as they caused more than 50% reduction in mite population within 24 h of treatment and also caused 70% reduction of mite population within 72 h of treatment.
