Application of Furadon 3G @ 3.5kg ha −1 showed higher population of bacteria up to 90 Days After Transplanting (DAT). Application of NPK with green manure and gypsum registered higher number of fungi. Actinomycetes population was higher with the application of herbicide butachlor @2.5 l/ha. There was an increase in cellulase activity with treatment of NPK and gypsum. Soil enriched with Green manure and NPK showed higher phosphatase activity. Application of NPK, green manure and Furadon showed a higherde hydrogenase activity. The overall results indicated that application of NPK with green manure, furadon and butachlor showed higher number of microorganisms and higher production of enzymes cellulase, phosphatase and dehydrogenase.
