The peroxidase, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide tests were found to be useful for examination of soybean varieties. Seedling response to gibberellic acid, 2, 4-D, and Malathion were also found useful in identifying the soybean varieties. These tests may provide supportive evidence for the morphological evaluation of the seeds.
