Abstract

The mutagenic treatments were tested for the determination of lethal dose 50 for mutagens. The dose at which 50 per cent seed germination was observed, it was considered as LD50 value. CMS-17B genotype was observed to be more radiosensitive, followed by R630, CMS-103B and CMS-104B. Higher dose of 20kR was found to be more deleterious in reducing seed germination and survival.
