Abstract

Mustard aphid herbivory resulted in reduction of chlorophyll index, photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance of all the rapeseed-mustard genotypes. Percent loss in chlorophyll was found to be maximum (74%) in Brassica campestris cv. YST-151 while least was observed in Eruca sativa (50%). Lowest value of photosynthetic rate (5.53 μ moles/m2/s) was found in B. campestris cv. BSH-1 and highest value (13.97 μ moles/m2/s) was observed in B. nigra after aphid infestation.
