Filamentous algae from Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary (Nathsagar water reservoir), Paithan, were investigated from the years 2008 to 2011. Algal samples were collected from 4 locations on southern side of the water body. Thirteen species of filamentous algae belonging to 5 genera viz. Oedogonium, Zygnema, Mougeotia, Zygnemopsis and Debarya have been reported, belonging to families Oedogoniaceae and Zygnemataceae.
