Abstract

Plant regeneration protocol was developed for Anisomeles indica using shoot tip, leaf and nodal explants. Maximum callogenic response for shoot tip, leaf and nodal explants was achieved with the treatment of Kinetin 1.5 mg/l, 2, 4-D 1 mg/l, and BAP 1 mg/l + NAA 0.5 mg/l respectively. Maximum shooting response (75.33±0.84) was observed with shoot tip explants at 1.5 mg/l BAP + 0.5 mg/l 2, 4-D. Maximum rooting response (74.83±0.46) was observed at NAA 0.5mg/lit.
