Abstract

Eight genetically diverse genotypes were used to produce 28 F1 crosses in a diallel pattern excluding reciprocals during 2008–09, and the experiment was undertaken in August, 2009 at Vegetable Research Block, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The cross VL-7 x DARL-405 exhibited highest significant negative economic heterosis for earliness checks VL-7 and Arkel. While PB-89 x PSM-3 cross combination was found with highest economic heterosis for green pod yield per plant.
