Albizia lebbeck (L.) Willd. (Mimosaceae) is popularly known as Sirish, Sitapuspa, Sukapriya, Mrdupuspa, Sirish, Bagey, Hombage, Vaka, Siris, Sersuan and Sareehn. Its bark is used in ayurvedic preparations. The quality of bark, available in market as pieces or fine powder is often doubtful. Therefore, attempts were made during present investigation to standardize the bark by studying its morphology, Anatomy, and phytochemistry.
