A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of integrated nutrient management in presence and absence of land configuration on soil properties and yield of wheat during 2007–10 at Coastal Soil Salinity Research Station, Danti-Umbharat (Gujarat). The experiment was laid out in spit plot design wherein two levels of land configuration (L1: Raised bed and L2: Flat bed) were allotted as main plot treatments, while sub plot treatments consisted of all combinations of inorganic (F100: 100% RDF and F75: 75% RDF) and organic (O0: Control, OF: FYM @ 10 t/ha and OB: Bio compost @ 10 t/ha) amendment. The results revealed that raised beds gave significantly higher grain and straw yields of wheat. Similarly, recommended dose of inorganic fertilizer (F100) gave significantly higher yield of wheat grain and straw as compared to reduced dose (F75). Organically treated plots resulted in significantly higher yield as compared to control. Land configuration and application of organics significantly reduced soil pH and EC. There was marked improvement in water stable aggregates due to the addition of organics.
