Sowing system significantly influenced days to germination, days to first harvest and root length. Date of sowing also had significant effect on all the characters except root length, root diameter, net root weight and yield per ha. Radish sown on flat system germinated and matured earlier. Chinese Pink variety germinated quickly and was ready to harvest earlier. Ridge sown radish roots were longer. Variety Pusa Himani produced longest roots, highest root weight and yield per ha. Growing radish on ridges was found to be beneficial.
