Abstract

Insecticides profenofos, imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, cypermethrin and lambdacyhalothrin were found highly toxic to adult wasps of Trichogramma chilonis Ishii with 100% mortality within 2 h of exposure. Pyridalyl was the only insecticide harmless to adults with less than 30 per cent mortality even after 24 handmay be recommended for field use. However, the applications of remaining insecticides need to be discouraged.
