Abstract

The present investigation on Population dynamics of Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) on Chickpea [Cicer arietinum (L.)] was conducted at Research farm, College of Agriculture, Bikaner during rabi 2011–12. The incidence of Helicoverpa armigera larvae appeared 68 days after sowing and attained its peak activity in the fourth week of February. The larval population occurred on the crop throughout the growth phase being low at vegetative and flowering stage and high at grain development stage. The temperature had positive non-significant, wind speed, positive significant and relative humidity negative significant correlation with the pest incidence.
