Abstract

Relative efficacy of grain protectant was assessed on the basis of adult mortality, population build up, seed damage, weight loss and persistent toxicity. Among grain protectants viz., sweet flag powder (1%), neem seed kernel powder (2%), custard apple seed powder (5%) and malathion (5%) dust were found effective in managing the pest of S. oryzae in maize grains under laboratory condition.
