Eighty four genotypes of pigeonpea, which included GMS based 64 hybrids and their parents, were studied for their G x E interaction. The genotypes were sown at three different locations in RBD with three replications. Highly significant genotypic differences for all the characters showed differential response of genotypes to the environmental changes. The stability analysis revealed that among parents, five parents viz., SKNP 9260-2, SKNP 9510, SKNP 9512, SKNP 9523 and GAUT 90-2 were found ideal for high yielding environments. Among hybrids, MS 288 x UPAS 120 and MS Pusa 33 x AT 6 were stable across the environments for seed yield. Twenty hybrids showed their suitability for high yielding environments and four hybrids for low yielding environments for their seed yield potential.
